How do you know if you are getting a "Therapeutic Massage"?In the state of NV the thought is pretty much anything goes.
In the Reno/Sparks area, also known as "Washoe County" Only "Therapeutic Massage" is legal/allowed ! !
Which means, that you are properly covered. None of your private areas are ever touched or revealed ! !
Why is Massage so Expensive?
Here in the State of NV, a Therapist has to pay for their own Licensing, Education, etc. every year . . .
State License = $200 City License(s) = $60 - $150 each Massage Board = $150 Malpractice Insurance = $159 or more IRS = $200 or more
12 credits a year (CEU's) = approx $1200
Every 4 years National License (NCTMB) = $125
Then there are the office space expenses etc.
. . . a Therapist, if they are lucky, works 4 hours a day. Anything beyond that usually results in body injury and burnout.
